tunesday: angus and julia stone
She said "hello mister, please to meet ya"
I wanna hold her, I wanna kiss her
She smelled of daisies, she drives me crazy

no. 11 get a record player
santa brought me a record player for christmas and since then i have been playing dreamy albums on vinyl both old and new. i love spinning frank sinatra and lighting candles in my room whilst writing letters at my desk or just lying in bed looking at the ceiling.
i also discovered a local music shop in town with tons of vinyl and cds. i could spend hours just browsing there. picked up the black keys on vinyl and a neon indian LP.
crossing off the list.

tunesday: jonsi
jonsi is the leader of sigur ros and composed the soundtrack for the movie we bought a zoo. it is lovely to the point of tears and sends chills down my spine as i fall asleep at night. the song intros are idyllic and flowing...hopeful, peaceful and soothing. i love the song "brambles" because it sounds as if the track is vinyl spinning on a record player. other favorites: sun, sinking friendships, we bought a zoo...pretty much all of them. i fell in love with this soundtrack a little bit more than the where the wild things are soundtrack. it's a close second.
perfect soundtrack to this rainy and dark morning. happy tuesday!

her first album "lights" is beautiful, poppy, soulful goodness. this lovely british girl gets double props for also being a nike girl and spokesperson. i could see myself working out to this album too actually.

tunesday: vinyl
so santa brought me an awesome record player for christmas. i've been playing some of my parent's old vinyl goodness like fleetwood mac and earth wind and fire. i think a copy of the black keys "el camino" album would be rather lovely as well as florence + the machine "ceremonials". i love the warm sound and the soothing spinning of the needle.
i'm off to my first pilates class...happy tuesday!

tunesday: coldplay
coldplay is knocking my socks off this week. i've had all their albums on shuffle as i cleaned and napped this weekend. i want to get their new album so badly and my room mates and i have been talking about finding them in concert sometime in the near future.
i'm convinced that one of the first slow dances at my wedding (some day) will be "sparks". that song gives me the chills! it is eerily beautiful...enjoy!
