The art of pushing people away

Let them in really close. Almost so close it scares you, then it actually does scare you. Rip the band aid off and run from all feelings or notions of human emotion. Rinse. And repeat. One day I won't be the one saying the goodbyes and I'll be on the flip side of all this.
